Truck Bus, and RV Courses
We offer several courses that are certified by the Federal Government.
This means: The courses are exempt from HST, tax deductible and meet requirements for funding.
All of the ****CERTIFIED courses below include:
- 20 hours Certified Air Brakes Course
- 16 hours Commercial Transport Theory
- 4 hours Transportation/Handling of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
- 3 hours Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
- 7 hours Load Security Theory
- 8 hours Load Security Practical
- 30 hours observation time of on road training
All textbooks included. A certificate is issued upon completion. These courses are HST exempt and tax deductible and tuition receipts will be issued.
****Certified Class One & Three Course:
In-Truck Content:
- Daily pre-trip inspections
- Daily log books procedures
- Defensive driving
- Shifting techniques /clutch control and techniques
- Gear selection, up-shifting and down-shifting
- Strategic positioning in traffic / intersections and cornering maneuvers
- Highway and downtown driving, and night driving
- Safe backing procedures, straight backing, offset backing
- Parallel parking
- Coupling/un-coupling the tractor-trailer unit
- Introduction to B-Train, Flat deck and Dry Van
- Last session includes final road test with ICBC
All Non-Certified Courses are subject to HST
Class One Advanced Upgrade:

The Advanced training lessons are designed for someone with experience in the industry, behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer unit, wishing to upgrade their skills.
-
These lessons are scheduled in blocks of three or more lessons per session and the equipment used is a loaded Super-B-Train and 53' van.

Course Content:
- Two hour Advanced Hazard Perception (Theory)
- Daily Pre-trip Inspections Intersections
- Cornering Maneuvers
- Highway/Downtown driving
- Mountain Driving
- Safe Backing Procedures
- Coupling/un-Coupling the Super-B
Class One and Three On-Road Course:
Content: ***-One Only
- Daily pre-trip inspections
- Defensive driving
- Shifting techniques

Note: The Air brake Course is not included in the cost of any On-Road Training
Prerequisites:
- All students are required to hold a valid Class One, Two, Three or Four Learners Licence All commercial drivers must pass ICBC medical requirements
- The student is responsible for all ICBC fees (knowledge tests, licence and road test) and medical fees.
RV's:
Recreational Vehicle Training
This course is designed for people with the following vehicles
- Motor homes
- Motor coaches
- Motor homes with a towed vehicle (boat, car etc.)
- Tow vehicle and conventional trailer
- Tow vehicle and fifth wheel trailer lessons are provided in your vehicle for maximum results!
Courses are designed based on individual's needs and may include:
- Regulations on vehicle size and weights
- Pre-trip inspection
- Brake check procedures
- Hazard Perception
- Observations while driving
- Fatigue
- Proper braking techniques
- Lane positioning
- Proper Backing Procedures
- Tight areas
- Approaching intersections
- Parking
- Approaching vehicles on side roads
- Emergency parking
- Defensive driving
- Driving in hazardous weather conditions
Class Two and Four Bus
We offer two options for Class 2 training and class four:
Both courses include:
Daily pre-trip inspections Intersections and cornering maneuvers Highway/Downtown Safe backing procedures Parallel parking
- Automatic Transmission 12 hours on road training
- Standard Transmission 15 hours on road training
