APPLICATION Requirements
CLASS ONE INSTRUCTOR
Applicant must hold a valid BC Class 1 drivers licence and have held one, or the equivalent drivers licence from another jurisdiction, for at least 3 years and have held a driver’s license for at least 5 years.
Applicant must provide a police check acceptable to the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) that indicates no convictions for an offence involving dishonesty, violence or indecency within the past 5 years.
Applicant must provide a driving record acceptable to the ICBC that shows less than 10 demerit points within the past 2 years, and no convictions under the Criminal Code concerning driving a motor vehicle for 3 years before the application.
Applicant must file a medical report acceptable to the ICBC.
CLASS FIVE INSTRUCTOR
Applicant must be at least 19 years of age.
Applicant must hold a valid BC drivers license and have held a BC Class 5 drivers license, or the equivalent drivers license from another jurisdiction, for at least 3 years.
Applicant must provide a police check acceptable to the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) that indicates no convictions for an offence involving dishonesty, violence or indecency within the past 5 years.
Applicant must provide a driving record acceptable to the ICBC that shows less than 10 demerit points within the past 2 years, and no convictions under the Criminal Code concerning driving a motor vehicle for 3 years before the application.

CLASS SIX INSTRUCTOR
Applicant must be at least 19 years of age.
Applicant must hold a valid BC drivers license and have held a BC Class 6 drivers license, or the equivalent drivers license from another jurisdiction, for at least 3 years.
Applicant must provide a police check acceptable to the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) that indicates no convictions for an offence involving dishonesty, violence or indecency within the past 5 years.
Applicant must provide a driving record acceptable to the ICBC that shows less than 10 demerit points within the past 2 years, and no convictions under the Criminal Code concerning driving a motor vehicle for 3 years before the application.
