When I was a young girl I used to say “if I was a boy I’d be a trucker”. Now that I am a not so young girl, I know I can be a trucker. Thanks to the emphasis on safety and being professional, as well as the committed, personable staff at Saferway Driver Training School, I now have my Class 1 with an Air Brake Endorsement. The format of theory and hands/feet/eyes on approach to driver training allowed me the confidence and knowledge to realize a lifelong dream. I now have a license to continue my learning and work as a professional driver. I appreciate being taught, what I believe is, above and beyond what is required in the transport industry. From the moment I first made contact with Saferway while researching for a driving school to upgrade my license to a class 3, I was impressed with the prompt reply and depth of information I received. After making my decision to enroll with Saferway because of the in-depth of instruction they provide and having a consultation with the staff I decided to upgrade my License to a class 1. I agreed with the Staff that a Class 1 license would give me far more option for employment then just a class 3. Having many years of experience driving military vehicles how hard could it be to drive a Tractor Trailer,

I was very surprised how much I didn't’t know. With the help of a very patient professional instructor, I quickly gained the knowledge and confidence to safely and competently handle the various sizes of trailers we were training on and was successful in Passing my ICBC Road test and Gaining my Class 1 License. Besides the hours of hands on road instruction the classroom topics we were taught played a very important role in my gaining employment very quickly after receiving my license.

For anyone thinking of perusing a professional driving career, Saferway Driver Training School has my vote for the best School in BC.

Dear Randy

I want to thank you and your staff for the excellent instruction you gave during the recent Air Brakes course I attended. I found your presentation complete, comprehensive and understandable. The relaxed atmosphere allowed me to eventually dismiss my concern that exams might be beyond me after all these years away from school and to my surprise I passed the ICBC test with 100%. I received high praise from the ICBC staff but I assured them that it was only due to the high level of training I received from you.

Again thanks for a fun course that gave me the information I needed to easily get my Air Brake endorsement and I look forward to working with you on the more complex Class 1 studies.
